Welcome Josh! Our New Youth Director

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

To quote Paul - "Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord." I am so excited to join the community of LVC! I am fully confident in our work together, but more so I am confident in the Lord! I am so hopeful that we will partner together for God's glory, and for our youth's faith nourishment. I am hopeful that we will all grow in our walk with one another and with Christ, and grow deeper in our faith and discipleship.

Being that my name is Josh(ua), I have found some verses that continue to ring true for me from the book of Joshua. First is this quote: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."  Joshua 24:15b. This is when Joshua literally draws a line in the sand and makes a clear declaration that no matter what the rest of Israel does, he and his family will be faithful to the Lord. The second verse is Joshua 1:9 which says, "I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” I take my joy, my excitement, and hope from knowing that God is with us no matter where we go!

Finally, I take great joy from Paul's letter to the Ephesians in which he writes, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life." Ephesians 2:8-9. I hope we can daily celebrate the grace that has been given to us through faith! My family is overjoyed to grow with your family!

Your partner, friend, and servant always in Christ,

Good luck Josh in this new venture!

Wonderful news for the youth of LVPC and the rest of us as well. Welcome Josh and family.
